The Pineapple Whip Controversy!

DSC_2421

So as you may know Disneyland Paris have finally released a new snack… a Pineapple Whip.

This has become quite controversial in the Disney Community on Twitter, as many are comparing it to the ‘original’ Dole whip of the U.S Parks.

The Disneyland Paris version, is a Pineapple juice and syrup, with soft vanilla ice cream, whereas, the Dole Whip is a pineapple-flavored soft-serve frozen dessert, once sold exclusively at Disneyland, The Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, at Dole’s processing plant in Hawaii, however it can be Dairy free and with other toppings.

Yes it has been advertised previously by other Disneyland Paris Twitter accounts, however I feel that this may be due to naming issues and other factors as to why the Dole whip has not been created.

I have never had a Dole Whip, as the last time I visited Walt Disney World I was very very young, however I do not understand why there is so much controversy. Yes there are so many reasons, such as the history behind it and how it is iconic to other Disney parks, I just do not understand.

I am just really excited for Disneyland Paris to have a new snack at the parks, and I really cannot wait to try it! So guys, lets not argue about the Dole Whip saga… it’s an icecream!

How do you feel about the wannabe ‘Dole Whip’ coming to Disneyland Paris?
